Chelsea got engaged at the beginning of 2020 (pre world turning upside down) and like many 2020 brides has navigated through being engaged a bit differently that she anticipated. As restrictions began to lift, we saw the opportunity to host her a shower safely and couldn’t wait to celebrate her as a bride to be!
The theme for this shower stemmed from Chelsea mentioning she just wanted to have tacos and margaritas in the sun with her closest friends and family. It evolved into a more neutral colour palette of sage green, amber, blush and copper with bohemian elements of macrame and raw wood pieces.
Now a few of you may be wondering about adjustments we made compared to a usual event pre-pandemic. Upon entering, we had a hand and phone sanitizing station set up. Along with additional hand sanitizer by the drink station. We ordered custom taco boxes with guacamole and chips, that were labeled with each guests name. The beautiful cookies were individually wrapped as well, so we opted to not do a cake. Casual seating was spread out through the yard and surfaces wiped throughout the day! We also checked in with guests prior to the day to ensure if anyone was feeling unwell that they did not attend.
We sipped on Margaritas, Palomas and Prosecco all afternoon and showered her with (socially distant) love. We opted for a Stock the Bar over a gift registry with their upcoming move to the sunny state of Arizona. Quarantine is hard but moving during a pandemic is harder! We thought she could use a couple extra bottles of bubbles before making the big move.
We love you Chelsea! Can’t wait to stand beside you on New Years Eve!
