Banff Gondola Winter Wedding Inspiration

We started 2019 off with a styled shoot at one of our now absolute favourite venues in the Rockies. (If you have read the blog from my old website, this may get a bit repetitive! And I am sorry!)

Sky Bistro is a stunning restaurant located at the top of Sulphur Mountain in Banff, Alberta, accessible by either the Banff Gondola or a hike to the top. The ceremony space on the outdoor terrace has panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and it is simply one of the most beautiful back drops in Banff to say “I Do”. Enjoy a cocktail after the vows with their outdoor bar while enjoying the Canadian Rockies. Retreat to Sky Bistro for your reception, and don’t worry the views don’t end when you head down to the restaurant. The floor to ceiling windows in Sky Bistro allow you and your guests to experience those views all the way until sunset, which is also pretty magical. With dishes like the Sage & Thyme Polenta Tower, Hamilton Farms AAA Short Rib and White Chocolate and Peanut Butter Mousse, everyone’s palette is sure to be satisfied.

The shoot took place on a very chilly February day. The creative team set up an intimate reception tablescape and an outdoor ceremony filled with beautiful florals, hand crafted stationary, and other gorgeous decor details. The moody colour palette which included champagne, gold, mauve, plum and ivory looked stunning against the expansive mountain backdrop.
