Candlelit Winter Wedding at The Pioneer in Calgary

J + K first met with me over happy hour drinks at the Royale patio last year. J shared her ideas for her dream wedding, she wanted it to be intimate both in feel and in guest size. They had decided on the Calgary wedding venue, The Pioneer on 8th, and I already began designing their day in my head while sharing laughs and sipping on our Aperol spritz’s. The Pioneer is a beautiful blank canvas, and J knew she wanted to see a very neutral palette, white blooms, green garland and wood accents became the focus of the design. Calgary wedding florist, Fall for Florals, created the most beautiful neutral toned arrangements filled with greenery and white blooms. J + K invited those very near and dear to their heart, they truly wanted it to feel like an intimate dinner party where they would be able to visit with those who had travelled to be there and ensure every guest felt incredibly welcome. We decided on two long banquet tables topped with white runners, lush greenery garlands and candles everywhere we could put one! The addition of the bistro lights hung above the reception tables helped to create an even more intimate space for both the ceremony and reception. It was an evening of love, celebration, and romance and could not have been more perfect for these two love birds.
