Hi, I'm MADELEINE.

Winter Micro Wedding at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

Mar 29, 2021

A + G reached out to us as an Alberta wedding planner in the early fall of 2020 after their Summer wedding had been cancelled due to the pandemic. They wanted to move forward with a micro wedding in Alberta and after our consultation we had found a date for them at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for the most beautiful winter micro wedding in November. The planning process took just shy of eight weeks and a few last minute restrictions put in place couldn’t stop them from having an amazing (but modified) winter wedding day at Lake Louise. Every part of their day was curated with so much love and intention. From having their bridal party witness the first look in the Mount Temple wing to doing a draw to pick their two ceremony witnesses, they truly showed their guests that having each one of the thirty-nine were so very important to them. Their wedding day at Lake Louise started with a magical snowfall that coated the entire Chateau with the fluffiest white snow and ended with a (mini & restricted) dance party in the grand Victoria Ballroom. Read along to learn more about this couple, their Lake Louise micro wedding and the amazing vendor team that made it possible.

The greenery, ivory and blush blooms adorned the hexagon arch with garlands strung along the back row. It was perfectly neutral and looked beautiful with the falling snow over Lake Louise & the Victoria Glacier! A + G did one of the most unique witness selections I have seen in my career. After wedding officiant, Weddings By Tamara, announced their first kiss she let the guests know that the couple had chosen to draw two guest names to sign as their witnesses as a sign to honour all guests in attendance.

We designed the layout of the ballroom with physically distanced tables of cohorts on one side with lounge seating and a dance floor on the other. A neutral and modern aesthetic with just a hint of rustic touches fit the venue and their intimate perfectly. Black menu cards and table numbers with white serif typeface adorned the place settings on neutral sand linens.

“Our wedding had to be downsized due to Covid, but even with a lot of constraints and changing restrictions, we ended up having an absolutely amazing day. We planned our wedding in a bit of a crunch and as a result Maddie took control of all the little details and decisions and we couldn’t have been happier. It was a perfectly unique day for us and all our vendors were top notch.” – A & G

The biggest thank you to an amazing vendor team for coming together so quickly for A + G’s wedding day!
