If I could pick a favourite couple from 2019, E+G would be up at the top. These two are so in love, every moment we spent together planning their day from coffee dates at the cafe in their neighbourhood to wine nights in their home leading up to the wedding, you could just see the twinkle in their eyes when they looked at each other. I could not wait to be apart of their day and see their love story enter the chapter of marriage.
This couple came to me in the early stages of planning with a venue that they had seen a lot of the same design at. The bride especially wanted a lot of texture and to play with colour while keeping a timeless and classic feel for the day in mind. Her dress was absolutely perfect with feather and sparkle details along with a timeless lace trim cathedral length veil. We focused on florals in both the ceremony and reception design to bring the outdoor garden feel into to their industrial venue. The groom’s navy suit complemented the blue details in their stationery and the pink blooms looked perfect with the soft blush linens and bridesmaid gowns. Gold wax seal details tied in their invitation suites to the reception design with the mirrored seating chart and place cards sealed onto macaron favours. The bride walked down the aisle with her mother and a locket of her late father pinned to her gorgeous bridal bouquet. There was not a dry eye during their personal vows, especially when the groom called his bride an angel. Post ceremony we toasted the newlyweds with a glass of champagne before transitioning the room into a beautiful reception space. The couple returned to find the room transformed, cafe lights strung and floral arrangements placed down the mix of long banquet style tables and traditional round tables. We ate, drank and danced the night away. It was perfectly curated to them.
